Celebrating Milestones with New Leadership Appointments

At Sunrise Labs, 2022 included some major milestones; we celebrated our 30th Anniversary, expanded our office presence to the Boston area, and we grew to over 100 employees!

In addition to the expansion and growth to better serve our clients, we reorganized our leadership team to be even more agile and efficient in our day-to-day operations. In support of that goal, Sunrise is delighted to announce the following promotions:

Dave Hibbard, formerly Director of Programs has been promoted to VP of Engineering. In his new role, he will lead our engineering teams (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems) and work with the User-Centered Design team to deliver exceptional project outcomes to our clients. A solution-focused leader, with deep experience in MedTech product development, Hibbard strives to provide unrivaled medical device services to ensure our clients are highly satisfied, and that projects result in devices that exceed expectations.

Trisha Bouthot, formerly Director of Quality has been promoted to Sr. Director of Programs and Quality. She is now responsible for both the Project Management Office (PMO) as well as the Quality Department (QMS). Having a team of Project Managers closely working with the Quality Engineers allows seamless integration between the Quality and Project teams. Quality is ingrained in everything we do, as client success is directly related to how well we execute on client projects. The alignment of schedule, budget, documentation, and relevant standards ensure that complex projects result in devices that exceed expectations.

Nick Lesniewski-Laas, formerly Director of Systems, was promoted to Sr. Director of Sunrise Systems overseeing the Systems Engineering and the Design Verification Teams. Managing the complexities of system development helps ensure Sunrise delivers the product that matches our client’s vision. One of Nick’s main goals in this new role is to support our engineers with the newest and best tools and training so that our engineers can design great medical devices that improve the lives of people around the world.

The mission of Sunrise Labs is to provide unrivaled product development services for medical device manufacturers. With a commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement; our engineers listen, query, confirm, and understand our Client’s goals to drive optimal architecture, technology, and program decisions. We deliver complete solutions that meet applicable regulatory requirements from concept through manufacturing transfer and post-launch support.
