A Focus on Brain Waves
Atentiv and Sunrise Labs partnered to develop a head-worn device that collects and transmits brain waves to a tablet application.
Users progress through a game on the tablet when they are focused, as measured by their brain waves. Playing the game allows patients to practice focusing skills while getting real-time feedback.
EEG via BLE
To work, the device had to reliably capture specific EEG signals from the brain and transmits the data to the tablet application. It also needed to be simple, reliable, and robust enough for home use.
Sunrise developed the architecture, electronics, and firmware to meet all product requirements. Sunrise also developed the BLE interface to the tablet app.
The final design met all product requirements and was smoothly transferred to the client’s manufacturer for volume production.
