Sunrise Labs, a rapidly growing leader in medical product development and award recipient of the best company to work for in NH, is seeking a Director of Finance and Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic and tactical financial management as well as operations support. The person will lead a team to innovate, deploy, and manage our business and financial processes and systems in an environment of continuous improvement and dedication to customer satisfaction. This role is a leadership team member and works in a cross-functional environment.
At Sunrise you will:
- Lead all accounting operations while driving automation to ensure accurate and auditable results in accordance with GAAP; provide mentorship and leadership to all direct reports to expand their career growth and satisfaction
- Lead FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) with Executive Management to develop long-range financial projections and key operational enablers
- Develop, measure, and communicate key financial performance metrics of our business; evaluate our financial performance and productivity against industry benchmarks; innovate and work with Executive Management to develop strategies to close any gaps and improve performance
- Manage the communication of key client project financial information to Executive Management, Program Teams, and external clients
- Work with Program Managers to track and report program execution costs (actual and projected) along with program budgets; successfully resolve any budgetary issues with Program Managers and Clients
- Be responsible for all Sunrise cash management; manage timely monthly and yearly financial close processes
- Establish and maintain detailed departmental budgets and KPIs working closely with Department leaders
- Be responsible for tax strategy, projections, and filings with our tax accountants; assist our tax accountants on any related matters
- Own and manage internal self-audits and external audits with outside auditors
- Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws for our multiple sites
- Assist Human Resources in evaluating employee benefit plans such as 401K and health plans
- Provide detailed analyses on staffing composition across Sunrise to help inform future hiring decisions
- Lead the creation, execution, and ongoing audit of legal agreements (e.g., Master Service Agreements, NDAs) with Clients, Employees, Contractors, and Vendors
- Provide leadership for multiple site facility planning, lease executions, and management
- Oversee all purchasing services for internal and Client project work driving end Client satisfaction
- Maintain strong banking and insurance relationships.

We will look for:
- A BS or MS in Finance and/or Accounting or MBA
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience leading the financial and operational functions of a $25MM+ size company
- Competency with databases, accounting software with a labor-management component, and CRM systems
